We’ll be collecting food Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm at Town Hall as part of our year of service and celebration for the sesquicentennial. Food donations will be given to Indianapolis Hope Packages, a direct food mutual aid program similar to No Questions Asked whom we supported last year. They will be distributing food on MLK day in the neighborhood at 12th and Arlington.
We’ll be doing it a little bit differently this year.
First, please only donate things from the list at the bottom of this post. It is in priority order of what is most needed/wanted by people. Also consider either buying things from their Amazon Wish List or buying things on their wish list and donating it. This is a grass roots food pantry and they don’t have a lot of human power to sort out good verses less good donations.
Second, we’ll be taking and bundling donations at this paypal link. All cash donations will be pooled and given to Horizon House, which is a homeless day shelter on Washington St.
Look for a flier in your mail box in the next two days!
